An amalgam of world music, ethnic instruments, psychedelia, made up and real languages from the artist Simrit, an orphan from Greece adopted by Americans; she has soaked up every musical influence imaginable and is currently on extended tour; RIYL Loreena McKennit; Indian devotional music

NO FCC's; Favorite tracks: 1, 5, 6

*1—CCV-- 10:26 – starts with steady Philip Glass-like arpeggios, with treble chords over it; Simrit's voice comes in with an ancient Punjabi language she has learned; hypnotic and lovely

2—Agunjul – 8:34-- more rhythmic, less ethereal; seems to be the same language (Gurukhi); lots of strings

3—It is Written – 7:10 – kind of a funk rhythm; English lyrics; harmonium?; a bit of a hodge-podge; segues into another language with a lot of electronica

4-- Just A Glance – 6:17 – violins with strong percussion and English lyrics with soaring vocals

*5—Just A Glance, Part II-- 4:34 – lighter and prettier than Part I with kora-like sounds; back to a foreign language

**6--Oh Nayhu – 10:22 – mysterious with steady beat, drone, kora riffs, violin; more devotional sounding; beautiful kora arpeggios wind down at end with violin

7—Kanah – 4:37 – sung in made-up dialect derived from Ancient Greek but to me has an Indian vibe
