This is as “local” a band as it gets: former KZSU djs, MDs, GMs produce primo long-form experimental noise rock. This release is heavy on the long and experimental and noise, less rock this time. Filled with tones that smack of gamelan, while layering good noise drones of sustained amps, but not harsh. Drums are primarily cymbals, with an overall effect of balm noise drone. Suitable for calming all dogs. Old dogs, stinky dogs, snoop dogs, you dog you. Fetch this if you like drone of Oren Ambarchi, Sunn((O))), Kevin Drumm. Or if you want to see what 4+ years of heavy involvement at KZSU will do to young minds. Dont miss their bandcamp page (https://noriegas.bandcamp.com) if only to see the best album cover art ever. Play any track (all FCC safe).

1)(16:16) Drone. Dark deep distant cavernous tones with tribal vocalizations. Evolves into a lush textured drone. 2) (34:25) field recording live sound to this long hollow tripped out psychedelic mélange of darkness. Cymbals and echoes abound in the noise drone. 3) (31:23) a drums and cymbals are more present in this, as is a live performance aspect. Bill C. 3/22
