at 86 years old, one of the very few left from the 1950's chicago blues scene. still strong with plenty to say musically and lyrically. contemporary electric sound, still steeped in the blues with "some" horns and backup vocals, and a little help from some old & new friends, mavis staples, bobby rush, jason isbell and wendy moten

1) big electric machine, rolling like a slow freight train
2)funky laid back vocalized blues story tellin'
3) small band, stinging electric guitar on a slow drag
4)shared vocal duties with mavis staples on a midtempo stroll
5)vocalized spoken word on a pounding bottom end march
6) shared vocals with james taylor on a acoustic/electric easy walk
7) low down old school finger pickin' into full on electric march
8) shared vocals with bobby rush on a funky chi-town strut
9) shared spoken vocal of contemporary lyrics with sparse electric guitar
10) shared vocals on a tough walking texas shuffle
11) buddy does classic B.B. King
12) funky bouncin' electric strut
13) buddy's funky treatment of a beatles cover
14) piano drivin' low down crawl
15) easy rollin', lazy lope
16) pure acoustic solo buddy guy guitar & vocals
