For: Shygirl’s Club Shy

Blane Muise, an English DJ and singer-songwriter better known as Shygirl, captures the lively and authentic essence of early 2000s electronic music with her EP, "Club Shy." This six-track EP creates an intimate club/rave ambiance, merging danceable rhythms with themes of sexual empowerment and self-confidence. Its masterful production features vocal distortions, vibrant synths, and spirited beats, inviting listeners to lose themselves in the dance floor experience.

Song breakdown for the whole album
1. *4eva (2:20) = It’s a song that’s easy to get lost in. It’s dynamic in its production and the verses oscillate between two different baseline and chorus. It does have a line around 0:50-0:56 that might make it too inappropriate for the general public.
2. f@k€ (1:47) = I like the way the song plays with the hyper manufactured synthetic songs. The driving base and rhythmic pattern of the song almost put you in a trance. However, the song does have a few inappropriate words at the beginning.
3. *mute (2:28) = Also a very dynamic song with its production and has really nice vocals. It’s also one of the funnier songs on the EP (to me) with the way it plays with the phone call. Can see this being the most/one of the most popular songs on the EP.
4. tell me (2:43) = Very fast paced love/desire song. It has a nice dance break and build up at the end of the song.
5. mr useless (2:29) = Very confident song lyrically. Similar to tell me it has a nice build and dance break moment. It’s a very punchy song.
6. *thicc (3:42) = One of my favorite songs vocally. The synths are stabby and syncopated. It’s a great feel good song.
