Kleier kind of fits in a "new classical" category but since he plays guitar, he's got an unavoidable rock edge. These are short pieces full of distortion and effects and some angular melody lines. A bit like the old Henry Kaiser/Fred Frith stuff, if I'm remembering those recordings correctly. 1- Echoey cavern 2- Big glorious shredding. In honor of Sonny Sharrock, I'd guess 3- Chiming Indonesian(?) pulse, midtempo, could be faster 4- Rhythmic and destructive. Yeah! 5- Country-like stomp, short. 9- Midlevel clanging.
