¡Viva Cubop!
Great compilation of Latin Jazz from the Cubop label (from Ubiquity). All tracks recommended.
1) Cuban guaguanco (more traditional than jazzy), starts with la clave and percussion. Add in piano, and flute and trombone solos.
2) Blazing Latin Jazz. Great conga solo. Awesome.
5) Up-tempo. Piano and Timbales fire it up along with some other great percussion and horns.
6) Dance tempo with 4 (count 'em, four) trombones giving out a fat sound. Each trombone gets a solo, plus there's some great musical moments in this song
9) This Song Rules! Crazy funky percussion w/ piano gets you grooving while the flute chills you out.
10) Jazzy uptempo
11) Medium tempo, funky Latin groove with great flute solo
13) Begins with dramatic solo piano, then upper-mid tempo with rhythm and mucho trombones
