Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend

Grungy indie pop in the spirit of Superchunk et al, (I hesitate to indict Warner era Husker, Dinosaur, Volcano Suns). Melodic male loud vocal lines, hooky choruses, with answering harmonies/backups, loud marshall stack les paul guitars played w/open chords often. All the right ingredients for the cookbook recipe. Yawn. All songs are mid to uptempo (track 6 has a tamer pop beat). All very similar in spirit and construction (verse, hook-chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus, chorus). No point in going track by track. Choose any or try 5,6, 10. Track 10 is really two songs, bridged by sped up tape/recording trick and then found sound sample.
