The following is my "dj review" of this cd. Suffice to say I really dug the shit out of this record:
This is fucking awesome!! Heavy assed drop tuned doomy grindy glammy metal, all with female vocalist who puts the grind boys to shame. The best part is that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. The best of Sepultura distilled w/ the best of Daisy Chainsaw picked right out of the garden of Sabbath. Every song kicks ass but watch FCCs. The bastard child of her and Max (Sepultura) would be an interesting little fellow. Two great covers: Nick Cave (12) and Black Flag (14). 1) spoken word “prayer”, brief with a really funny ending 2) drop tuned heavy rock, head bangy, spoken type rap turns full on grind scream, buried FCCs 3) FCCs, kick ass rhythm but potty mouth ridden, fuck! 4) heavy metal bad ass beat, bad fucking ass, like Sabbath evolved without 5) FCC in the spoken intro, if you cue past this you get great crunchy metal, near glam 6) low upbeat head banging grindy metal lots of screams 7) glammy dark metal, upbeat 4/4 but nasty nasty FCCs at very end 8) driving upbeat headbanging metal 9) crunchy pounding metal, FCCs 10) sexy girl metal, “normal” vocs mixed w/ grind 11) slower head banger, minor FCCs 12) excellent cover of Nick Cave classic (“…jingle jangle…”) 13) another spoken “prayer”, nice 14) Hidden Track: Black Flag’s “My War”, right…fucking…on!! But watch FCC at very very end!
