Lots of instruments and sounds on this CD: acoustic guitars, banjo, violins, piano, organ, you name it. Nice songs with memorable lyrics that stick in your head. Sounds like something between country and low-key rock, but neither. Anyhoo, some song descriptions…
2. acoustic guitar, drums. Fast paced singing, twangy guitar in the background. Heavy bass.
4. old-style banjo playing. Country-sounding. Reminded me a bit of Bela Fleck.
8. singing over electric guitar and keyboard. Upbeat with a nice story in the lyrics that’s almost Dylan-esque.
10. reminds of Willie Nelson. Downbeat acoustic guitar and soft organ in the background.
11. kind of disturbing lyrics over an angelic string arrangement.
14. simple, slow vocals with sole accompaniment of acoustic guitar.
