Basic pop, cute but odd: More than half the songs are about other musicians. Nicely fey overall, with a satin baritone vocal. Lyrics aren't overtly goofy like They Might Be Giants -- just amusing and a little strange. 1- Folky, mid/fast, with harmonica; about Dave Matthews 2*- Fun mid/fast pop 3- Dave Matthews again - his "autobiography." Fey '70s-pop sound, some spoken word 4*- Simple and sweet. "Lenny's 12 feet tall!" 5- Slower, jangly 6- Fast, cute, gay 7*- Midtempo minor key 8- Country twang, slow, kinda funny 9*- Slower, pretty 10*- Country. Nice tune, actually sounds like John Cale a little bit. |
