Live performances, a new release of concerts from '93-94. Laura Nyro sings and plays piano. 'Female Vocals' -on our reviews, that only means a woman sings, but in this case I mean the genre, this CD is about Laura Nyro and her voice, which is odd because she isn't particularly brilliant technically nor soulful. But the audience are enjoying themselves and the renditions are decent. Sorta like MTV unplugged.
disc 1. accompanied by fem backup singer chorus
1.love song about a girl, makes this track lesbian
2.fluffy love song
…etc… piano, nice singing, inoffensive, rather coffeehouse.
Disc2-I think these are more originals whereas disc1 had more covers. The audience is more reserved. After school special music. I like #4 and a few other tracks on this, but after scanning these discs, I long for Ricky Lee Jones.
