Dr. Didg is a guy who plays the didgeridoo and mixes it up with various electronica. What is a didgi-who, you ask? It is a trumpet-like instrument played by the Aborigine people in northern Australia. Ah, the wonders of Googleƒº Dr. Didg, however, plays a modified version of the instrument since the original only plays a single note. The tracks on the CD cover a pretty eclectic range. All are worth checking out if you¡¦re just curious, though many will grate on your nerves after a while. The following were, in my opinion, the most interesting:
.Fast beats provide the background for bass-heavy keyboard. Somewhat drum ¡¥n¡¦ bass-like, but a bit more organic.
.Distorted vocals in another language (can¡¦t say what, unfortunately, and don¡¦t want to just assume it¡¦s Aborigine). The didgi-whad-d-ya-call-it can be very clearly heard on this track.
.Titled ¡§Squeal Piggy¡¨ for a reason. Squeal-y synthetic sounds over a traditional beat. Very upbeat.
.Pschyedelic retro-funk. Real neat.
