Good modern quartet that writes richly jazzy compositions and takes off on some nice exploratory solos. Gebhard Ullman on sax adds a small dose of skronk/screech, while Joe Fonda on bass keeps things in a traditionally melodic vein and produces some very compelling musical lines. Overall a very jazzy sounding collection with lots of exciting playing.

*- Fast rolling, w/quick-fingered bass.
*- Midtempo, cool sound but heats up later
- Euro-cafe tango, then free blowing
*- Cutesy theme, normal free-jazz energy later
- Sad soulful; tribute to Thomas Chapin
- Quick and perky
*- Multiple phases, from peppy bebop to soft and loungy
- Slow
*- Goofy chant
