Tin Hat Trio - Instrumental arty rock w/doses of jazz, world- in the vein of Chicago and Canadian hipsters- though they're Bay Area types transplanted from NY. Been doing some sountrack work and it shows.
.nice acoustic guitar intro sounds like Ry Cooder. Then the accordian & violin take over. Slow, minor key gives vague east-european feel
.mid-fast,quiet, light
.dissonant, jazzy, wet-balloon noises (finger on wood), mid-fast
.pizzicato & stacatto intro nice interplay into a tango
.mid-slow, soundtracky & polished, vox:Willy Nelson imitates Nilsson
.repetitive guitar and a broad pianer, contemplative
.fast violin & wordless voice over repetitive theme
.like a cowboy song that got lost in translation. Slow.
.slow (I'm getting reviewer's fatigue) some cool harmonics in it
.fancy picking repeats, the accordian&violin combo from #1 returns
.harmonics, quiet, brief- the intro is the outtro
.fast, fiddling, piano, junkyard percussion, still arty
.fast
.slow, mysterious, good, too short!
