COLL: Danny the Wildchild – Fully Sorted
Label: Surge Recordings

This is an intense junge/drum&bass mix-CD by well-respected Chicago DJ Danny the Wildchild. There is actually a lot of variety here for a D&B CD – it starts relatively mild and gets progressively harder and more mind-grinding. I liked Danny’s own tracks (12,16) and also 6,9,10,15.

1. multi-layered percussion & scratching
2. fem R&B vocal loop - kinda 2-step
3. reverberating synth loop, fem. wailing
4. samples (Prodigy's "Charly"?) all cut-up
5. synth intro - trance-y breakbeat
6. hard! bass grinds & claps
7. insistent jungle tech w/ fem. vocal samples
8. jungle tech w/ sample "dangerous"
9. crazy beats & twisted analog effects
10. ominous horror-film-dialogue break
11. big synth bouncing jungle-tech
12. sheer madness - techno buzz-swirls all over
13. more sinister techno-synth buzzes
14. intense analog buildups w/ pounding beats
15. twisted ringing tones, goes into hard jungle
16. techno-swirls interspersed w/ beat pattern
