It’s Casual – Buicregl (The Friendly Hills)
Hmmmm. 10 songs, 20 minutes, total punk attitude and production, no thrills, no frills, no real production values to speak of, this is odd. I dunno, I kinda dig it. Only a two piece, with the guitarist pulling double duty. You’re reading this and thinking “Say what?” Yes, he plugs his Les Paul into both a guitar amp and a bass rig. Cool, huh? Yeah. All songs are punkish, dirty, muddy, and energetic. Sounds like they’re having fun. They also all sound similar. Add this, if just for the fact that these dudes are so unusual, we gotta rock it. So let’s rock it. And I imagine in a week or two I’ll be listening to this and going “Oh, I get it, this is fucking great! Fuckooooooooo!” That’s just what I do.

Tracks:
Dunno whether it’s my laziness or the fact that I can’t even start to get into a song before the next one kicks in, but there just ain’t gonna be a track-by-track this time. They’re all cool, though. Think Melvins, Motorhead, and some other old-school punk.
