Led by electric guitar and electric violin -- fast, with an upbeat and electrically harsh sound. Mostly fast stuff with an affinity for wacky time signatures. Nels Cline on guitar gets plenty of opportunity to freak out. Tracks 4 and 8 delve into funky-groove territory, while most of the others have ear-pleasing modern-jazz heads. Fun stuff.

- Fast, cartoony
- Mid/fast, almost prog-rock sound
*- Long breezy notes over hyper bass & drums
*- Funky! w/odd-time-signature solo bed
- A gentle mid/fast flow
- Jumpy, with susbstantial quiet patches. Nice solo by Nels Cline.
- Seven minutes of spacey slow exploration, then a midtempo swing
*- Flashy funk
- Slow and dreamy
