Contemporary jazz, often soft and comforting, from a Norweigan bassist. Many tracks have a slow, quiet start and build to something bigger and louder, so the first few seconds are often deceptive.

A few NYC guest stars here and there -- Craig Taborn, Gerald Cleaver, Tony Malaby

*- Mid/fast, off-kilter funk. Includes a slowish, free passage
- Slow/mid, cheesy cocktail jazz feel
*- Cool midtempo bass riff, some wacky piano and organ soloing. Second half fast.
- Fast shuffle, cutesly electric-piano theme
- Quiet, w/lots of organ; gets big and dramatic
- Quiet bass solo
*- Midtempo, a bit funky
- Gospel, slow and melodic
- Small avant-garde splashes
- Slow, mournful
- Midtempo, loud and stormy
- Soft, warm; very "ECM" sound. Gets louder.
