Traditional songs from Sudan featuring wonderful percussion, vocals, strings. Most of these songs from the 1920’s and ‘30s, the so-called “Suitcase of Art” period. (Read the notes.) Lyrics based mostly on Sudanese poetry. This is all great stuff, folks.

*1. Soaring vocals, great perc/strings. Mid-tempo.
2. Mid/up tempo, female vocals, perc, strings.
3. Great whining strings, strong vocals. Mid-tempo.
4. Good perc/vocals. Upbeat w/a catchy sound..
*5. Midtempo w/a very cool sound. Nice vocals.
6. Kinda bouncy, in a traditional Sudanese rhythm.
*7. More upbeat w/a nice harmony of voices/strings/drums.
8. Slow opening, mid-tempo w/female vocals. Kind of whiny.
9. Sweet & catchy with some nice percussion/accordion.
*10. Fast w/a more modern sound.
