Album Review

Even-tempered indie pop. Vocals sound (not in a bad way) lazy, like he hits notes without really trying. Same goes for the rest of the band—it just comes out without any effort. Muted bell-like electric guitars, bass, percussion, some unexpected electronic warbles. Wacky lyrics. (Apparently actually the last unreleased album from the Minneapolis band Deformo, released under the name of Steve Salad/Salett’s new band.)

1. (2:30) satisfied chugging midtempo, phantom twang, female harmonies
2. (2:59) earnest midtempo, bell-like guitars, uneasy refrain
* 3. (3:36) even mid/uptempo, childish sounding vocals, electronic wavers, jangly
* 4. (3:17) driven down/midtempo, unexpected rhythms
5. (3:33) starts in no-tempo land. Solid tempo, harmonies, wavery electronic noise
* 6. (3:32) driving percussion, piano, female harmonies, catchy
7. (2:57) slightly desperate slightly faster, constant strumming rhythm
* 8. (2:31) jangly twangy, slightly faster; low vocals. Dark sounds
* 9. (2:01) chugging countryish, with warm lazy brass harmonies
10. (6:13) 80s’ pop/new wave-ish; surfy bass, organ synth, tambourine
