Solo piano, often including prepared piano, where he blocks certain strings with a wood block or similar object. Nice chamber/classical atmosphere -- lots of reverb -- colored by some free-jazz ideas. Prepared piano tracks have a percussive sound for an almost "world music" feel (esp. 3, 9).

You can hear more of Delbecq, in a more directly jazz-related setting, on the album "Y?" by the Bertrand Denzler Cluster -- highly recommended.

*- Gently popping groove
- A loose feel, a mid/fast burble
- Light, mid/fast. Ghostly high notes
*- Quick patterings
- Slow classical feel
- Fast, serious
- Slow and darkly dramatic, lots of pauses
- Mid/fast, serious feel, sticks to high registers
*- Spacey prepared piano, sounds like a percussion collective.
