Your Imaginary Friend Reviewed 2003-09-18 | ||
Trippy organ (accordian’ish) and vocal mostly, one man band weird pop songs, sometimes grimey. Think Quintron meets Bowie and Phillip Glass (huh?! Right!). Or rather maybe Lawrence Welk on psilocybin. Pretty weird yet pretty inspiring shtuff. 1) steel drums and accordian sound 2) strange reverby doo-wop 3) prog’ish feel uptempo 4) spacey “accordian” and vibes 5) crunchy noisy heavy beat, weird 6) organ beats, Quintron’esque but more skating rink than swamp 7) slightly doo-wop, soulful, Bowie’esque voc styling 8) organ solo, trippy and loopy 9) minor spacey organ, vibes, vocals 10) jazzy with vibes and drums, chill and rhythmic 11) organ returns w/ skewed digitally messed up vocs, this one is high on the weird scale 12) piano solo w/ dissonance, backwards bells, great, trippy 13) piano etude 14) piano, repetitive/loopy and pretty |
