Straight jazz quartet featuring compositions by Bay Area sax player Chan. Good stuff, with mostly slow, measured themes leading into some bright soloing. A couple of nice pretty tunes in there, too (3,8). 1- Mid/slow tumbling 2- Slow 3- Fast fluttering sax. Vaguely Bacherach-ish melody 4*- Strong slowish jam, slinky theme 5*- Slow and richly mystical 6- Nice melody, pretty 7+8* - Midtempo, w/solo bass intro | ||
