This is great! From Oakland, The Mass play quirky mathy proggy free jazzy metal. Yeah, you know what I’m talking about. Mostly instrumental but with some really funny vocals on occasion, there are some hilarious moments, and some of the riffs fucking kick ass! I don’t know them well, but they probably love Mr. Bungle. By far my favorite is #1

1. fucking awesome drums/bass angular rhythms a la The Ex, then rocks out math emo style. sax noises at end. great!
2. uptempo urgent metal sound. funny cheesy zeppelin vocals. is this ironic? i don’t know but i’m laughing. gets smooth jazzy in the middle, then free jazzy, then spazz hyper, then back to smooth jazz.
3. upbeat rockin’ w/ spoken vocals and scary shrieks. rok!
4. noodling sax, then very mathy proggy bass and drums w/ spazz interspersed. really funny vocals, scary like mr. bungle.
5. smooth jazz guitar, then prog, then funk w/ squealing sax, then more jazz, etc. etc.
