GREAT stuff! some relatively new tracks from local bay area indie-rockers. i really liked all the tracks - every one is cute, catchy, poppy, and fun. and this cd came with a handwritten note to bill - how sweet! 1! - cute, catchy, and short. is this a cover? it really sounds like something i heard before. "makes my heart go boom boom" 2!! - slower, with a decent mix of vocals and instruments. and a slightly stompy ending. 3!!! - i love it when a song starts with drumsticks counting off and then unexpectedly, *not* rock out right away. verses remind me of circus and there's a cool little guitar solo in the middle. the chorus rocks out - yeah! 4!! - repetitious lyrics but somehow it works. lots of keyboard work here. 5!! - slow and almost haunting (oooo ooo ooo). 6!!! - a little bit like #5 but i like this one more. maybe because it feels a bit more dramatic. | ||
