Modern jazz composing with free/avant-garde touches, led by Malaby on sax. Malaby is like a milder Tim Berne, composing long, twiny lines and allowing plenty of improv freedom in his pieces.

The band has a bass and two drummers, with Malaby as the only horn. The setup emphasizes the sax, showcasing Malaby's ability to carve out territory with the backing of his choice.

8*- Fast quiet background, quickly strolling sax lines
9*- Mid/fast, tumbling
10- Mid/fast. Relaxed little jam
