Fifteen songs spanning 20 years in the career of the master. As you’d expect from a “best of” from this artist, there’s not a bad track on the entire CD. At least one star per track, you can’t go wrong. Read the notes for guest stars on individual tracks…he’s got a lot of very talented friends.

1. Driving, dramatic, ambitious, modern, and very, very cool.
2. Sophisticated & swaying w/a lush orchestrated sound.
3. Bright & joyful w/sweet guitar/drum/choral work. Yum.
4. Lovely violin/cellos (Jaques Morelenbaum), lush & too short.
5. Duet w/Gilberto Gil featuring seriously cool percussion.
6. Just him & his acoustic guitar. Sweet, lazy, wonderful.
7. Rich, live version of this classic Mexican song. Ahhh….
8. Bright & sweet w/delicate touches from vibes & chimes.
9. Wonderfully sexy version of a Gilberto Gil tune.
10. Another live track. This one slow & atmospheric.
11. Slow, spare & haunting. Sung in Italian.
12. A relaxed love song for vox/strings/perc.
13. A sweet, percussion-happy tropical dance.
14. Slow & romantic w/lush strings.
15. Lightly jazzy sway for horns/vox/perc.
