An often meditative palette of avant-jazz reflections (although it's not necessarily quiet). Casually paced jams featuring some adventurous soloing that's still accessible and a bit grooving. Nice cast of local folks in the band, too.
1*- Slow wanderings with periods of dark energy and fast drums
2- Sparse, slow. Eventually moves into a midtempo jam.
3- Small and skittish, abstract
4- Sparse, sounds both homey (melodica sounds) and creepy
5*- Busy little jazz blurb
6*- Long one. Starts quiet mid/fast. Last 5 minutes get into some faster,
tense soloing.
7- Dark, builds to a crash
