Pleasure Vibrations

This Japanese duo (who toured with Peaches) play quirky upbeat retro electro pop. Though there are interesting and fun sounds throughout the album, overall too much is going on to make any of the songs very memorable. Despite the overstimulation, this is not bad at all. 2, 4, 8

3. upbeat, too much going on, too many synths at once
4. lounge bossa nova melody over quirky synth
5. dance pop number, could have been nice but doesn’t work for me
6. dense upbeat jazzy beat, repetitive, w/ high-pitched synth melody
7. bossa nova vocals over synth like #4
8. midtempo cheeseball pop raunchy bass and beat, fem vox
9. continuation of #8 without vox
10. slow cheesy ballad with lots of overblown synth raygun ripples
11. upbeat disco pop
12. slow w/ lots of synth
13. MBV cover, lounge beat and theramin-like melody
14. vocals and weirdo tremulous sine tones, brain numbing.
