From Berlin, Monolake offers dark, moody IDM built on very minimal tribal beats underneath echoey industrial-type sounds. While some of the tracks are catchy and draw the listener in quite effectively, others have such a slow development that they seem endlessly repetitive. Nevertheless, there are a number of great grooves here.
