Well I admit it, I’m lost. I think this might be the most eclectic 40 minutes of music I’ve ever heard. Filled with utterly bizarre little interludes, this CD contains purely ambient noise cuts and cute little melodies over drum breaks. For a late night ambient or noise show though, there’s bound to be something worth using on here. Listen to/Play: 12, 14 (for true ambient), 21
1)Brooding atmospheric synths. Sort of pretty, sort of boring…2)Sounds 3)A simple little melody with clicks in background 4)atmospheric little interlude; trippy. 5)Another interlude with cello and piano looped. 6)Simple beat with angst-y little organ noises and high random synthy noises. 7):16 of looped African sounding vocal sample. 8)A single organ chord held 9)Cute atmospheric track with various asian instruments in background. Cool sound bed (I think) Did I mentioned how baffled I am by this CD?? 10) Bleeps and clicks over repeated synth major triad. 11)Start and stop breakbeats with a simple melody. Plays continuously into ‡12)A flanged beat with a whistle loop. Tripped out vibe. 13)Harsh warbley synth loop and then a loop of a guy screaming over a rock beat. 14)Ambient spaced out chords. Brian Eno feel here. 15) Similar to last cut but with a really minimal beat. 16)Piano over synth 17)A few notes 18)Various clicks 19) A fast clicky noise with harsh organ-y hits. Continues into ‡ 20)Guitar distortion 21)Starts with electric piano arpeggio with horn sounds and a rock beat. Atmospheric bass lines, a couple builds and releases. Picks up and introduces some melodies! The most substantial track on the album. At moments, really very pretty stuff that could match almost any type of music. Give this cut a listen.
