Mainstream piano jazz with a Latin feel. Valdes is an adept soloist who infuses a playful personality into the music while also really ripping it up.
- Midtempo Latin chugger. Gets into some manic soloing.
- Quasi-sinister vamp; goes through romantic phases and wild phases
- Fun stuff: Rolling, mid/fast gentle. With some Spanish monologue and a Brubeck quote
- Soft piano solo
- Fast and relaxed. Includes some flashy unaccompanied piano
- Fast tangly theme into slower blues/Latin walk
- Ellingtonian swing, Latin style. Includes a mad percussion break.
