Noisy dream pop. Less theatrical than Mercury Rev; interesting sound and song structure. Advanced pop, borrowing a little from early mellow prog and 70s pop. Dreamy layered vocals, lots of quirky sound effects. First LP from this LA duo. Liked 1, 10, 4, 6.

.** Cute track. Interesting structure, Fleetwood Mac-like chorus. Mid tempo.
.Mellow, acoustic guitar background, mellow electric guitar in front, ocean waves throughout and at the fade-out.
.More sound effects than a song of this one. Some lyrics in Spanish. Multiplied vocals and other layered vocals and effects. Many different parts, each different from the other. All within 5 minutes (including very quiet final 30 seconds).
.* Rock. Psych guitar, mid/high tempo. Some nice guitar bridges.
.Mellow track, dramatic chorus, last 30 secs are quiet sound effects.
.* High tempo, vocals spoken/sung, angular guitar riffs, anxious drumming.
.Pop. The most “Mercury-Rev”-y track. Mid tempo. “Fade out” into track 8.
.Short (0:52), fade-out of track 7.
.Mid tempo, rich sound.
.** Marching drums, mid tempo, catchy, sweeping track. Self-referencing phrase repeated. Slows down mid-way, long but cool fade-out (4 minutes+ out of 7:43), chirping sounds.
