Confusion is next? No, but confusion sure as hell is on here - these 6 Danish guys make a crazy mix of Ministry, Strapping Young Lad, mid-perioid Bad Religion and early Van Halen histronics and YEP - all of this weirdness really pays off. And I thought it was some obscure 70’s boogie rock band. Not an album you’ll “get” right away (though I almost did).
((((1)))) KILLER riffy heavy but rather melodic mix of Strapping Young Lad & Red Harvest mixed with later-era Bad Religion. Super catchy & fun!
(((2))) A bit more rythmic riffing but pretty damn solid riffing the vocals aren’t so hot in the start but the more “Ministry fused with Van Halen II” can be interesting if you give it awhile.
((((3)))) Weird but a twisted & very fun mix of: mid-period Bad Religion, Ministry, and sometimes the vocals even sound like Greg Lake!?!? Some silly rock n’ roll-isms“ daddy’s gonna take her T-bird away”. Confused but totally worthwhile & rockin’ as fuck!
(((4))) Ministry, NIN, and Red Harvest mixed with early 80’s Van Halen? Don’t cringe yet - it actually works! Both the aggressive parts & melodic parts work well.
((((5)))) Severe FCCs “suck my d-d-dick!!!” (0:30 & 0:41-0:45) Avoid! too much potty mouth here which is too bad ‘cause there’s some great thrash riffing.
((6)) Starts off like Katatonia then some mix off not-so good parts of both Katatonia & Bad Religion. Too much chorus & not enough interesting stuff.
(((7))) Starts off kind of proggy then becomes uppity yet glossy yet aggressive Scandi-pop/rock. This works pretty well after a few spins. This would go great on a soundtrack.
(((8))) Holy shit! They just became Katatonia (mixed with a teesy-bit of current Tiamat). Ballad-like but rather nice.
(((9))) Super-aggressive intro. They STILL can’t decide if they want to be Red Harvest, Bad Religion, Strapping Young Lad or Ministry - so they’ll just be all 4 on this on.Avoid though due to LOTS OF FCCs: 1:28-1:29 “fucking hard” (not too audible tho) ; 1:49 “Motherfucker” & 1:54 “fucker” “suck my dick” 2:50 and on & on... “fucking “ “eat my pussy” suck dick” Edit masterfully or avoid totally!
(((10))) Super-awesome “space-thrash” mixed with some more mid-tempo melodic/poppy elements. Somewhere between old Metallica, Ministry, Faith No More, Bad Religion and Strapping Young Lad.
(((11))) Keyboard-laden intro sounding like some 80’s synth pop for a few seconds then it jumps into aggro-metal territory ‘ala Strapping Young Lad.
