John Beltran: In Full Color
Label: Ubiquity

This is yet again another fine release from Ubiquity. John Beltran has been producing brilliant music for a long time now, infusing electronica w/ all sorts of sunny Latin-y & world-influenced flavors. There is a lot of variety on this CD, from thumpy broken-beat tech-y house stuff to straight up Latin samba bangin' dance numbers. All good, but try:
2,5,6,8,9,10.

1. Fluttering synths, snappy snare drum breaks, big deep basslines
2. Pretty vox chorus, sunny & catchy R&B vox, some nice horns
3. Thumpy broken-beat w/ serious Latin-urbanized street flavas
4. Lots of congas, cool synths, an unnecessary rap section around 2:00 into track
5. A funky samba beat & percussion, nice jazz pianos
6. Thumpy broken-beat house w/ soulful vox
7. Cheery Latiny dance - playful vox & samba effects
8. An uptempo Latin-dance cut - very fun & cheery
9. Thumpy broken-beat, kinda techy - echoey fem vox
10. Synth washes all over -pretty fem vox - beat-free ballad
