Artist: Tommy Lasorda Album: Hamster Label: SPAM records Note: 45 rpm Would you play your little brother's punk band on your show? These guys don't have polish, and don't seem to have much original going on. Still, I kind of liked them, because I imagine them saying "That was awesome!!!" after every take. Recommend 4, 5 (B side). I couldn't decipher any FCCs, but you'd better check for yourself. 1) 120 bpm. "Racing my ego" Snotty pop-punk. A few electronic sounds thrown in at the end. 2) 120 bpm, then 100 bpm. "Talking to me" Singing style reminiscent of Violent Femmes. 3) 180 bpm. "Landmine" Indecipherable lyrics, punk/metal. 4) 180 bpm. "Punkest girl in town" Noisy Green Day. 5) 60 bpm. "Matterhorn" A bit Beck-ish. Alex D. |
