Hauntingly beautiful sad. Will Oldham (Palace, Bonnie Prince Billy) delivers 4 instrumental pieces. All variations of the same theme. Acoustic, epically drone-y, non-resolving repetitive guitar balads. Slight touches of exotic folk psychedelic noise. Will Oldham gets obstinately minimalistic and biblical. Listen, cry, purge your demons out. Or just curl and dream sweetly. Play 1, 3, 4 1. Soft, laid back and melancholic. Pretty and circular. 2. Same theme but darker and more dissonant. 3. The "cheeriest" of the four. 4. Sustained organ notes; static noise; sparse psychedelic notes (remind of the Doors and 60s "psych"). | ||
