Singer-songwriter stuff with acoustic accompaniment. Seemingly intended to a) express Joyner’s extreme unhappiness and/or b) try your patience, as he goes from sad/slow to sadder/slower moaning at almost every track segue. Touches of pedal steel give it a country tinge.

1. Folksy blues, bluesy folk; colorful, literate lyrics that remain non-sequiturs
2. Bittersweet country-folk tune
3. Downer with just hints of olde tyme country
4. Slow, slow, slow
5. An ineffable slow, quiet beauty permeates here
6. Picks up the tempo ever so slightly to back porch dirge
7. Pained
8. Joyner injects some edge and noise into the arrangement, imitating the moaning train he’s singing about
