Metal Boys is a retread of Metal Urbane with a Chanteuse. First recorded and generally ignored in 1980-81, these guys were hard to pigeonhole,
hence to market. They sound a bit like Kraftwerk, but much darker with a more experimental approach,
occasionaly sharp guitar and a girl singer (speaking at times). They can go multilingual on a song, but you never know what's next. Techno
predecssors and a link from Kwerk to new wave,
in some ways. Ahead of their time.
1) Frantic buzzy - stabbing guitar annnd synth
*2) Beat box, no hands to scratch my tits, spoken dystopia - FCC
*3) robotic and rockin - seesaw guitar - fucking airport abrupt end - FCC
4) chordal Xmas carol - slow and comfortable
5) straight electro twaddle - T.E.E.
6) rocker - new wavy, definitely
7) slow synth beatbox.. almost melodic vocals , short and simple
*8) Cab Calloway, dark swinger, insinuatingly spoken in French
9) light dancy froth
10) Devo we may be, yah yah yah, funny fade
*11) Scary war story, daark&death all around, yikes! 2 vox 2 langs
12) I don't care... guitarlike synths
13) Devoish too, pop, video friendly
14) Faster simplistiic off center, a little guitar
*15) funny wee woop, buzz guitar, quick and biting instrumental
16) jews harp synth, rock'n roll 2 minutes incomplete (a demo?)
17) downbeat ambient w/ sweet vox - love, I guess, dub fadeout, false ending
18) robotic dystopia, menacing, intense - heartbeat - disco future chant
19)echoed tick percussion, distant speech about space
