A clearly competent celtic-irish band. The great stuff here are some slow irish-folk ballads with vocals. Primarily the CD is composed of instrumental tracks that are a little long for radio play. Vocal Picks: (2) 4:44 "The Foxy Devil" -- slow guitar and strings with male vocals: "When I was a young man..." etc. (5) 6:13 "carrickfergus" -- slow strumming with a beautiful, deep female vocals. Some Instrumentals: (1) 4:40 -- fast fiddlin and flute; celting it out. (4) 5:17 -- fast celtic, in 3 movements. (6) 6:48 -- mid-temp celtic, in 2 movements (8) 1:22 -- short, slow, sad, flute piece. (7) 10:54 -- starts slow and sad, but picks up speed. 3 movements. (3) 10:30 -- WARNING: starts QUIET. Begins slow, turns into mid-temp celtic music. 5 movements. | ||
