Good modern bop from a local group, their sound reminds me a lot of something you might hear on CIMP. There's some great solos here, epecially Zamula and Peterson on sax, as well as some interesting group improvisation. The liner notes explain the connection between the songs and the Dali paintings they're named for, though I think a true surrealist band would have a tuba. There's some excellent stuff here regardless.

*1. Jaunty swing with some nice modern touches
2. Mellow flute & bass
3. Happy lighthearted swing
*4. Rolling percussion with chaotic horns
5. Quiet march to start, more boisterous when the horns arrive
*6. Nice easygoing swing, great solos
*7. Sweet old-school legato swing
