Sassy 70’s-sounding piano rock, maybe Carole King meets Elton John? (Bill says Bacharach). Almost a broadway sound. Rambling piano, complicated cymbal-heavy perc, funky guitars; Azita’s low sassy female vox. Fun meter changes, unexpected melodic twists and turns, cool harmonies, literary lyrics. Yay!

1. (5:24) dramatic, showcase, lots of complicated piano, like early Elton John with more electric guitar.
2. (4:07) **FCC (one “shit”) midtempo driving loungy, funky electric piano
3. (4:31) darker, mysterious
*4. *(4:11) sassy syncopation with muted trumpet—jazz hands!
5. (3:34) very elton john electric piano; uptempo, jazzy vocals
*6. *(6:18) like a Broadway ballad; slower with busy piano, ominous backup harmonies.
*7. *(5:38) woo vibraphone! A knowing strut, a leading lady song with an unexpected melody. Noodly trumpet.
8. (6:01) laidback stroll, with teasingly threatening vocals
*9. *(2:54) sunny day bopping, but cautious—dissonant harmonies.
