Local noise-asts, including the prolific Scot Jenerik, aim for the tribal majesty of Savage Republic, 17 Pygmies, and Scenic, on the local label that reissued SR’s albums, no less. Given that outline, you get slow but forceful multiple drummer rhythms, metallic clangs, sometimes a veneer of guitar noise, a helping of dramatic chording, and some darkwave lyrics reluctantly emitted. The album as a whole is good but suffers a bit from a lack of dynamic range – it’s almost all too big, too grand.

2. Slow and resistant of any grand gestures, quietly accreting over its 17+ minutes
3. Darker, louder
4. Goes in for the exoticism of Indian sound
5. Starts with a big chord and proceeds with a bad-tempered stomping for about 10 minutes, then a downshift and a slow crescendo of majestic noise over the next 12 minutes
