Classical-minded compositions leading into abstract free improv. This is a local project that guitarist Shiurba (formerly of the band Eskimo) has been working for the past few years. The improvisations cover the familiar cerebral-noisy territory, but the compositions add an elegant touch, mostly exploring avant-chamber-music themes (similar to Dan Plonsey's stuff, actually).

The "M" in the title refers to bassist Matthew Sperry, who was killed in a traffic accident in 2002. He's highlighted on track 6.

1- Improv starter, quietly cluttery
2- Jaunty theme, into dark slow improv
3- Loud and slashing, into quiet improv
4- Chamber-classical start. Mostly quiet improv with loud ending
5- Stompy sounds, into fast darting sax/clarinet, then slow grinding
6- Slow chamber piece with bass-led improv interludes
