Taste of Tg, the

Pioneering proto industrial experimentalism and goth-synth. This is an excellent retrospective of industrial/performance pioneers TG. Formed in London in 1975 by Genesis P-Orridge, Cosi Fanni Tutti, Chris Carter, and Peter Christopherson, their anti-music involved tape manipulation, noisy synths, noise and controversial performance art and spawned such luminary acts as Clock DVA and Cabaret Voltaire, which led to things like Skinny Puppy and Ministry, NIN, and the entire genres of Industrial/Goth (they disbanded in the early 80’s, members going on to form the other highly influential bands Coil and Psychic TV). This CD is an excellent cross section of their work, ranging from early noise experimental to proto goth electro club dabblings. This CD also includes old live recordings from 1977-1979.
