Tal Klein (a.k.a. Trancenden) spun an ill set on Ghost's show a few weeks back and gave us this record. You might remember Klein and Irian Jaya from several fantastic tracks they did for the Aniligital Music Press compilation that was popular on A-File a few months back. This EP has the same quirky trip-hop feel, but comes off as lighter and goofier than the Aniligital Music Press tracks. I enjoyed A1 the most.|
Note: Side A is 45 rpm, Side B is 33 rpm

*A1. Man, does this cut put the "trippy" back in trip-hop! I feel like I'm on mushrooms. Guitars, water sounds, silly spoken samples, playful piano and sound effects of all types. Picture an off-kilter Blockhead.
B1. Slightly faster with jazzy keys solos and sax riffs. Uses many of the same samples. A tad electro-ish.
B2. Fast, dancey beat. Tweaked spoken samples and sounds. Mellow piano riff returns at times. More silly samples, esp. about "oranges and lemons."
