Evan Parker / Stan Tracy – Suspensions and Anticipations

Exploratory improv from a couple of guys who have been around the block. This album as a whole has a muted feel, as if the jagged stabs and rumblings of a typical English-school improv session have been weathered away to long tones and rippling chords. Tracy and Parker create a beautiful (if sparse) atmosphere through the entire disc.

1. Quiet start, gets more forceful
2. Drawn out start, ends up fluttering
*3. Angular groove starts after intro
4. Pleasant piano solo
5. Floating improv
*6. Questioning sax solo
*7. Undulating movement
8. Classical sounding improv
9. Sparse fragments of sound
*10. Floating movement
*11. Bubbling motion alternates with open space
