An effervescent compilation of six Hindustani compositions based on the evening raags Bageshri and Kedar. Ashwani is a skilled vocalist and gets ample support from the accompanying musicians on tabla and harmonium. All the tracks (except the first one) are relatively short by classical standards, and hence easier to appreciate for non-trained listeners. Read the liner notes for details!

Track 1: Slow tempo introduction to the first raag.

Track 2: Mid tempo version of the same raag.

Track 3: Up tempo version of the first raag, and the most “action packed” piece of the first three. Ashwani’s vocals are sonorous and playful.

*Track 4*: Slow tempo rendition of raag Kedar. Ashwani’s performance is distinctive and fragrant as she forays outside the basic melodic confines of the raag.

Track 5: A crisp, uptempo, and accelerating version of raag Kedar. Vocal twists and turns abound.

Track 6: Exquisitely poignant rendition of a 16th century devotional poem.
