Tender Buttons "Pornstar T-shirt" - The 2nd EP to come out of these crazy electro-noise-rockers that are 2/3 of Kill Me Tomorrow. Once again they put together some really cool weird stuff. Heavy pounding drum machines, video game noises, vocal distortions, and general creepiness. Unfortunately their 2 originals have so many FCCs that they are unplayable on the radio (but you might want to check them out for fun). The Roxy Music cover will make your skin crawl. I totally love these guys even though they terrify me. Do you want to be creeped out? Take a listen...
My Picks: A1 (fcc), B
Katie P. 8/10/04

A1) Crazy electronic blips and bloops. Sounds a little like video game sounds. Then the beat hits in with a pretty uptempo pace. Vocals are distorted. Aside from the bad words this pretty cool. Fcc: says "fuck" a lot.
A2) Drum machine and then shimmery electronic melody that sounds really chopped up. Vocals are distorted again and also a really slowed down version of vocals that sounds super creepy. Overall it has a slightly happy fun feeling. Fcc: says "fuck" a lot.

B) Cover of Roxy Music's song. Slow and dreary. Pounding drums and creepy low bass hits. Spoken vocals that are slightly distorted and recorded to sound very close and intimate. This is sooo creepy!!! Relatively minimal using only low pounding drum and bass and the occasional percussive sound along with spoken vocals.
