Local psyche folk noise amalgam. Minimal drums/percussion are made up for by booming hollow bass and entirely hypnotic fuzzed out noisefests performed on an acoustic guitar put through all the right effects. Noise knobs are twisted here and there to perfection. A pretty heavy psyche sentiment happening here, a la the best of the Velvet Underground, but the fuzzed out bliss brings stuff like Spacemen 3/Spiritualized to mind. Really interesting new, young, band, fronted by great songwriting from the mind of Greg Ashley. Keep your eye on this band, Greg, as you can expect great things from all related. Another great find from the eyes/ears of Dave Katznelson/Birdman records.

1) slow tom tom beat, dark ponderous with distant reverbed vocs and beautiful noise, then at exactly 4:20 turns 60’s psyche
2) trippy psyche feel, dark and building
3) swingy ballady, epic soaring melodies with classic feel
4) folkier feel, somehow the tambourine seems louder, guitars are clean, and a nice sax solo to boot
5) a trippy instrumental jam a la Pink Floyd’s Ummagumma
6) straight 60’s psyche garage rocker
7) nice mid paced dark spacey with tasteful noise and tone
8) another dark tom tom based one
9) hippie folkie acoustic jam feel, the Dead on thorazine
